Songs from Giddings' new album, "Picture This" added.
In just over a
week on the air, Tull radio is smashing the charts. Tull radio is #9
(Top 2%) in classic rock, #7 in prog rock and #57 (Top 7%) among all
Live365®
rock stations. Better yet, Tull radio is tops in rock among both official
and single band stations beating Santana, Rolling Stones, the Beatles,
Led Zepplin, and others. Tull radio has also been awarded a coveted
"Editor's Pick" choice for its quality.

Tired of never hearing anything but
"Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath" on classic
rock stations? Now you can listen to Tull worldwide 24-hours a day
commercial free with the new official Jethro Tull Radio through Live365®.
The playlist includes Tull's entire catalog along with Ian's solo
works and a few of Martin Barre's. In discussion are special themed
broadcasts, interviews, and much more. Listen via your web browser
and media player or your Blackberry®, iPhone®, TiVo® and
even your car (via mobile phone services).
You can listen via the widget on the left or better
yet via the official
Jethro Tull radio player. If you prefer a pop-up window, try:
the
pop-up version. Either way, you'll notice convenient shopping
cart icons to buy the individual songs or albums from iTunes®
or Amazon® respectively (you knew there was a catch, huh?). Connect
the Tull the station to your own home page with our station code.
Give it a try and let
us know what you think via webmaster@jethrotull.com and suggest
features you would like to see. If you already have favorite Live365®
stations, let us know as well. We plan on adding solo works by band
members such as Martin, recent guest acts, and a few scheduled themed
hours (like all acoustic). More ideas as well, to be honest, but those
are our little secrets.
Questions? See the list below. Otherwise, email
us.

How
can I listen on my home stereo if I have a wireless web connection?
-
No
TiVo®? If you have a newer PC or laptop, hook the audio out
to an available inlet on your receiver. It is a lot easier with
a laptop of course. Or, if older, you will need to connect via the
headphone jack. Get a cable with a male 1/8" mini plug on one
end and a red/white pair analog out on the other end. Just tell
an associate at RadioShack®, Best Buy®, etc. you want to
hook a headphone out on a PC to a stereo receiver. Plug the minijack
into your headphone and the analog ends to an available port on
your receiver. The evil webmaster does this using his AUX port but
any open will work (e.g., extra DVD, etc.). Viola! Tull home stereo!

How can I listen
via mobile players such as Blackberry® and iPhone®?
-
See
Live365's® help
for mobile listeners page including Windows Mobile 5 /6®
and Nokia S60® as well.
- How can I listen
via TiVo® or other home-based player?
- See TiVo's "how
to listen to internet radio" instructions. It's simple, trust
us! There are lots of other home
web radio players as well.
- How can I listen
on my home stereo?
- If you do not have TivO®, connect a PC
(laptop probably the easiest) to an audio-in for your stereo. It is
rather easy but how you do it depends on what types of "audio-out"
options are available on your PC. Here is a nice
guide to walk you through the connection steps.
- How can I listen
in my car?
- Unfortunately, you can not hear us on XM®
or Sirius® yet. But you can via a mobile player connected
to your car's CD/radio player. The link on this page is to a nice
CNet® video on how to connect.
How can I connect the Tull station to my web, Facebook®,
or MySpace® page?
- Copy this link for Tull's very cool official
player: http://www.jethrotull.com/live365/jethrotullradio/mini/index.html.
If you want to include the station directly like the widget on the
left, see our widget code.
What do you mean
by the "entire" Tull and Anderson catalog and some Barre
songs?
- Every song released by Tull or Anderson is
played sequentially at random (no repeats until everything is played
once). Also, there are very rare tracks never released on an album
(like "It All Trickles Down" and "Blues for the 18th")
found on rare EPs and other sources. There are multiple copies of
some songs (like "Aqualung") because there are different
recordings. If the same recording appears on more than one album,
it is not repeated (like with greatest hits albums). We try to avoid
the same song in any format or two songs from the same album playing
close together. Songs from Martin Barre's solo album, "Stage
Left," are also included.
- Some of the
album pictures do not match the song being played. Why?
- This happens either due to the database we
use to match songs to albums getting confused due to multiple appearances
of a song's name across albums or for rare tracks not on general release
albums. We're trying to fix it but beware of this when buying a CD
or track connected via the shopping cart. The cart will give you a
list of CDs matching the song however. If you buy the tune itself,
listen first!
- Some of Ian's
song introductions do not follow with the mentioned song. Why?
- This happens almost exclusively on live albums
where the record companies, for some whacked reason, put the introductions
for the next song in the set after the previous one. Hence, the introductions
do not match. We are going thru the laborous process of editing these
tracks, removing the introductions and placing them with their correct
songs. It will take some time. Do keep in mind when we do this the
song will NOT match the sold tune on iTunes®
where the introduction will not be present.
- I am having
problems listening. How can I get help?
- See the Live365®
listener help. We can not help with technical issues, sorry.
